Once I'm earning again.

It's so hard not to look at all my favourite websites while spending the day emailing companies to give me a job (hear that Seek?  You're just a bit too shit for me to handle now!)  I have so many new blogs and online stores I cannot go a day without visiting and even more so lusting after all the lush clothes displayed and events that are going on all over the world . . . Soooo I'm going to share with you what I will be buying and doing once I have the capabilities to do so :)  Click on some of the images to take you to online stores.

This is possibly one of the coolest campaigns I have seen in a long time.  I love it almost as much as I love their clothing!

My picks are the skeletal lace maxi and the yeti knit coat in black.  Check them out it's kind of hard to choose between everything!

Back to reality

Away on a whirlwind trip along the Great Ocean Road, that's where I've been for the past while . . . not to mention tired (and a lot hungover) from Australia day festivities.  Sorry I got behind with my photo challenge but I'm here to make up for it!  I have done ALOT of camera 'operating' over the past few days (although I'm without my Australia day photos for a while longer sorry) so will also put loads of those up for you all to peek at.
First point of call . . . Catch up!

Day 19.  Something Orange.

And who doesn't know the famous orange stripe of the penguin book collection?!
$10 for a classic is a bargain.  Books are always better in the 'flesh'.

Day 20. Bokeh

Jeez I had to figure out what this even was . . . and then which of my photos I have managed to do this in . . . luckily while on my orange quest I managed to get this one.
Bokeh according to Wikipedia is "is the blur or the aesthetic quality of the blur, in out-of-focus areas of an image"

Pretty hibiscus flowers (I think) in the far North of NZ.
I get a bit homesick this time of year . . .

You may see some shots like this one also that is labeled as Bokeh.

The whimsical layering of light.
Pretty cool and even if you didn't I learnt something through this little challenge . . .

Day 21.  Faceless self-portrait.

You all know how I love self-portraits so you've probably already guessed I have a cheeky way around things . . .

No face in sight . . .

Day 22. Hands

'In the Air'

Katy B at Parklife.

Day 23. Sunflare.

I'm pretty sure my mum never told me to stare at the sun and to be honest if you're trying to take a pic of a sunflare isn't that almost the same thing as looking directly at it?  I mean with a 'real' camera.  Anyway I've always preferred to take a pic of a sunset or on the rare occasions a sunrise (i'm a night owl).  But I managed to find one in my collection (because it's such a crappy day in Melbourne today!).

Loreto, Baja California, Mexico.

Day 24.  Animal.

Oh I have been way too excited to show you all this perfect little creature.  We were driving back along the Great Ocean Road when Liam starts shouting and pulls the car over because there is a young koala on the side of the road . . . possibly the cutest wee thing I've ever seen and it even posed for the camera.

Love its little smile . . .

So yay now we're all caught up and I'll be posting loads more this week as I get my photos organised and all my loves and stories sorted to be at least a little coherent!

Little loves

There is no doubt in my mind that summer is my favourite time of year.  I am a sucker for open fire places (bear skin rugs not so much), warming my hands on a cup of hot chocolate (lindt of course!) and snuggling down into my giant duvet/doona with the cold and rain pelting down outside but none of that even closely compares to:
beach bonfires,

sipping super cold Corona in the sun (or Pacifico when I can get my hands on it),

Keeping that beer cool in style?!

watermelon - lots and lots of watermelon,

Stomach is rumbling looking at these plates!

Music festivals

beach hair,

fresh gelato,

Paddling in the ocean

Summer dresses

and the temperature being above 30º most days!

Day 18 of the blog marathon!

My Shoes.

So I took this as an opportunity to show you the shoes I have been wearing today . . . not my wardrobe full of shoes because well they all look pretty boring tucked away in their boxes like they are, plus my closet is a mess and possibly full of clothing I don't want you to see!

Morning attire.  my fave Beau Coops boots.  Love at first sight!

My running aids.  Nike Free 3.0.  Pretty comfy, makes me run real fast . . .

And these guys are what I should have been wearing all day.
It's been so hot I don't know why I haven't!

Challenge update . . .

Thought I would dig up some more cool photos we've taken over the years to put up for this photo challenge.  So this is me once again catching up . . .

Day 15 Silhouette.

During the sunset at venice beach.  I Heart California!

Day 16 Long exposure

Just a little bit of creativity with a new camera . . .

Day 17 Technology

By definition (thanks Wikipedia!) Technology is the making, usage, and knowledge of tools, machines, techniques, crafts, systems or methods of organization in order to solve a problem or perform a specific function. It can also refer to the collection of such tools, machinery, and procedures.
I'm guessing what springs to mind when you say technology to a lot of people is something you can plug in to a wall or lets just go with an iPod.  So my take is music . . . something that is constantly affected by changes in technology think of all the different ways we've been able to listen to and store our music over our lifetime my favourite though is still live . . . .

Lykke Li at Parklife festival

Next Men at Section 8.
